Conversation With Dave

CBS 3  Weatherman  CBS 3 TV meteorologist Dave Anderson is a graduate of Ely Memorial High School, Vermilion Community College, UMD and Mississippi State University.  His Ely work history includes various paper routes crisscrossing the entire town, two years as a custodian for ISD 696, odd jobber for Dr. Lynn Rogers, a stint as lawn boy and dishwasher at Burntside Lodge and a summer as janitor at the Voyageur's Visitor Center which is now the Wolf Center.  In 1986, Anderson took a janitor job at CBS 3 TV to see if he liked the news business from behind the scenes.  In 1987, he moved to KBJR TV to become meteorologist Jack McKenna's graphic artist.  That lead to Dave earning his own meteorology degree.  He is now the longest serving broadcast meteorologist in the Duluth Superior TV market.  Away from CBS 3, Dave is an adjunct meteorology instructor at Lake Superior College and Northland College.  Since 1999, he has also been a Coast Guard Auxiliarist and currently serves on the National Staff in the marketing department.
