Susan Polege and Emily Roose
Introducing Two New Ely Rotarians, meet Susan Polege and Emily Roose.

Greetings,

Two new Rotarians will present this week.
Susan Polege and Emily Roose.

You may already know that Susan Polege has boomerang’d back to Ely four times now.
In between those years, her other homes included a grass thatched hutch in Peace Corps - Zambia, instructing Outward Bound canoe trips in the Everglades of Florida, bike-commuting next to the monuments in Washington DC, and running on mountains in Washington state. She’ll do her best to tell a few interesting stories from the journey through these places back to northern Minnesota.

Emily Roose grew up in Des Moines, graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College, passed the CPA exam and started working at Deloitte.
While in college, she worked summers at Piragis and that brought her back to Ely. There seems to be a theme here!
She now owns a home, works at EBCH and serves her fellow residents as a member on the Ely Planning and Zoning Commission. Her Myers Briggs test indicated she is an extrovert, we will soon decide! She plans to talk about some of the activities she enjoys, including: Snowboarding, surfing, canoeing, going to the gym, music (she plays string bass), cross country skiing, camping, volleyball, live music around town, international travel, and throwing parties.    Two interesting Rotarians, join us!
