Guest Speaker: Jacob White, Ely Film Festival Director
Jacob has lived and worked in the Ely area as a seasonal canoe guide since 2011. He owns and operates White Pine Productions, a small video production company rooted in shared community values. He made a film about the 6th Ave East area of Duluth encouraging support and art for the area.
Highlights:
The festival is running from February 8 - 11.
It will include 15 feature films, 11 blocks of short films and a few additional events that celebrate independent filmmakers.
A festival guide is available on the Ely Film Festival website explaining each screening.
The festival receives commissions from all over the world for consideration.
Submission feels have been kept low to encourage participation. Shorts are put into blocks. Volunteers help to put the selection together.
Ticket sales support the festival and are available on the Ely Flim Festival website and the State Theater.
Thank you to Jacob White for his presentation and bringing the Ely Film Festival to our community.
