Ida Rukavina - Range Association of Municipalities and Schools.
Ida presented on behalf of RAMS, as they are called, a legislatively established interest group promoting the interests of the range cities and schools. RAMS has been around (in a different form earlier) since 1939, led initially by legislator Fred Cina. They promote the interests of the cities and schools at the federal and state levels with a Board of 24, two of them school superintendents.
They advocate for local projects and funding, including various infrastructure projects and are particularly interested in Broadband expansion, since much of the region is underserved in meeting the Broadband goals of the State and Federal governments.
