Topics for Today - Kris Winkelman and Steve Renneberg
Kris and Steve gave a delightful presentation today about them, their business, and their goals for the future. They gave us a lot of information about their business, formerly Skube's Bait on the far end of Sheridan Street, and presented some interesting information on fishing, bait, and the industry in general.
We learned much more than we wanted to about leeches (who knew there are 480 species), answered some questions on fish species, trophy bucks, and outdoor recreation opportunities in the Superior National Forest. They have expanded to do fish house rentals on Shagawa and Burntside and actively plow roads for access. They want to expand more to opportunities for kids, more gear for hunting and camping.
We also congratulated them for being a very productive location for the Food Shelf Penny Jars, picked up by Pat Warner.
