Hybrid Regular Meeting - 10/19/22 (Oct 21, 2022)

President Campbell welcomed the members and guests and introduced Terri Olson who, along with Tom Moore, reported on a very successful Rose Sale, with 21 club members participating. Final report will be forthcoming. Lisa Ledel reported on the upcoming Lion Heart presentation coming to the Washington Auditorium on October 25th at 5:00 pm to 7:00. Tom Moore reported on his upcoming departure for the brown southwest and told members that they may have assignments for programs in the near future. Members were polled and were in favor of a Holiday Party this year.

Sarah Murn - Vermilion Community College Foundation

Sarah is the new director of the VCC Foundation and reported on the activities that they sponsor for students. They have three funds, the Scholarship Fund, the Emergency fund, and the Text Book fund. Our club sponsors a scholarship on a ongoing basis.

The scholarship fund has benefited greatly from a generous bequest from the Tony Pecha estate which will make things easier to manage. The textbook fund remains in good shape, but the Emergency Fund is in need of contributions. This fund helps with student needs that can't bee addressed in the normal system. Thanks to Sarah for discussing the VCC Foundation, but just as importantly telling us about her practice in acupuncture at the Pebble Spa. Some of us may be seeing her soon.
