Craig Loughery presented on the Organization of Rotary. There are three main divisions, Clubs, Rotary International, and Rotary Foundation. There are 35,000 clubs in 202 countries. 1.25 million members, each club independent, own bylaws and constitution with separate financials, dues, etc. There are also associated clubs: Satellite clubs-interact clubs(14,000 clubs with 342,000 members), rotaract clubs, (10,700 clubs with 204,000 members) and E-clubs. Rotary International has 3 levels-District, Zone, and Rotary International with 500 Districts worldwide, based on geography and membership. Structured to assist clubs-committees for training, grants, public image, youth exchange, strategic planning, foundation, conference, nominations, etc. Separate financials (dues). Clubs provide officers and participants. Appoint and direct assistant governors who work closely with individual clubs. They also assist in projects, grants etc. Our district #5580: 2500 members with 64 clubs. 13 assistant governors.
