Presenters Today: Today Cindy Smyka of Jasper Company and Lacey Squier of Boundary Waters Connect.
We learned about each of the women and their backgrounds and how they came for form this partnership on the Society Hall Workspace. Cindy and her parents own and operate tourism businesses in and around Ely and she operates Northern Grounds coffee shop. Lacey has moved to Ely with her husband to find jobs that better suit their lifestyles.
The unusual partnership of Jasper Company and Boundary Waters Connect, a non-political offshoot of the Friends of the Boundary Waters has come together to create a workspace above the Northern Grounds. They offer high-speed internet, comfortable seating and workspace, and the comforts of a downstairs coffee shop.
Memberships range from just a daily pass, to 14-day passes to monthly and annual. The daily usage pass is $10 and monthly is $75, giving access to all of the amenities. They invite us to come in and take a look around to see what they have to offer and recommend their facilities to friends and visitors.
Thanks to Lacey and Cindy for presenting today!
